(NOTE: The temperature of
the jungle ranges from very hot to surprisingly cool. June through August
are generally the wettest months and September through December the dryest,
although there really is no typical pattern. Humidity usually stays at
about 90 percent and it can rain torrentially. Raingear should include
rubber boots and a heavy-duty poncho with a hood. A dry bag is recommended
to carry binoculars and cameras. Travelers to this part of the jungle must
be able to prove they've had a yellow-fever vaccination). To make arrangements
