Travel to and around central America is one of the most exciting tourism destinations available today. Rich in culture, archaeology, nature and ecology, Central America is small but diverse "Land Bridge" between North and S outh America. Of special interests is the world's second largest barrier reef, off the coast of Belize and Honduras. Divers and snorkelers alike can interact with perhaps the most the most pristine marine environment in the world. The Maya culture is also a highlight, but nature is King in Central America. Numerous parks have already been set aside to preserve the region's impressive bio-diversity.

The three of five member airlines- AVIATECA, LACSA and TACA- have been declared the official "MUNDO MAYA" carriers, due to the fact they are the only ones covering all international airports within the Maya World (Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, Belize, Guate mala, El Salvador and Honduras).

To help visitors to this exciting region take full advantage of everything it has to offer, we at American Central Corporation (ACC), organized a series of 10 "Selling Central America" seminars to provide the travel profes sional with an updated view of the principal Central American Tourist attraction. As sales representatives for the Central American airlines, Aviateca, Copa, Lacsa, Nica , Taca of Honduras and Taca of El Salvador-we educate travel agents on how to attract potential clients interested in Central America as their next vacation spot.

Almost 1,000 travel agents attended the seminars, which included a viewing of the "Maya: Voyagers of Time" video featuring the principal attraction of the Maya World: updates on increased flights fright frequencies from 8 U.S. gateways cities to Central & South America, Mexico and the Caribbean; and a professional audiovisual presentation delivered by knowledgeable photojournalists. But most important, they walked away with a true vision of Central America.

To facilitate travel to, from and within the region, traveler can take advantage of our "Visit central America Program" and our "Mayan Pass." Both are unique coupon initiatives with attractive fares and the convenience of u sing the services of any of our airlines under the umbrella of the ACC group, with multiple frequencies between all Central American city pairs. - End -
