Calendario Azteca/ Aztec Calendar
Este site está dedicado al profesor Humberto Herrera Martínez, que entre las decadas de los sesentas y setentas desarrolló un trabajo sobre el Calendario Azteca. A lo largo de estas páginas se hace una descripción detallada de cada uno de los jeroglíficos que se encuentran labrados en el Calendario Azteca. Las figuras grabadas en este imponente monolito representan los datos correspondientes a la formación del Sol, al orden del Sistema Planetario y a la creación de la Tierra entre otras cosas.
This site is dedicated to Professor Humberto Herrera Martínez, who in the mid 60's and 70's developed a study of the Aztec Calendar. These pages describe each one of the hieroglyphics carved in the Aztec calendar. The figures of this monumental monolith represent the formation of the sun, the order of the planet system, and the creation of the universe among other things.

Antoni Gaudí es una de las figuras más contoversiales de la arquitectura Catalana. Durante su carrera, Gaudí desarrolló un estilo curvilineo, sensual y surrealista, que lo estableció como el líder del movimiento Art Noveau español. Es imposible no contemplar la obra de este arquitecto, que creó un arte irrepicable. Su obra maestra La Sagrada Familia, todavía en construcción se erige como un monumento que representa a la ciudad de Barcelona. Gaudí también diseño La Casa Guell, La Casa Mila, El Park Guell y La Pedreda. La ciudad de Barcelona en España sirve como testamento de su obra.
Antoni Gaudi is the most controversial figure in Catalan architecture. Over the course of his career, Gaudi developed a sensuous, curving, almost surreal design style, which established him as the innovative leader of the Spanish Art Nouveau movement. It is impossible not to admire the work of Guadi, who created an entirely original art. His masterpiece La Sagrada Familia, still under construction stands as Barcelona's most remarkable landmark. Other important works done by Gaudi include the Casa Guell, the Casa Mila, Park Guell, and La Pedreda. The city of Barcelona in Spain serves as a testament of his work.

Gehry está localizado en la ciudad de Bilbao al norte de España y su función principal es divulgar el arte Americano y Europeo del siglo 20.
On Sunday, October 19 1997, the Basque administration and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation opened the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao to the public. Designed by Frank O. Gehry and located in the city of Bilbao in northern Spain, the museum is devoted to American and European art of the 20th century.

La Patagonia es reconocida por sus glaciares y su fauna, y sus indómitos paisajes serán el escenario para la más difícil expedición de aventura. Un total de 52 equipos de 32 naciones competirán en este evento que puede ser visto a través de Discovery Channel a partir del 28 de noviembre. América Latina estará bien representada por equipos de Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, México, Uruguay, y Venezuela. También estará presente el veterano equipo español, ganador del tercer lugar el año pasado. Buena suerte a todos los equipos, !y que gane un equipo latinoamericano!
This week's page takes us to the Patagonia, Argentina. The latest Eco-Challenge, an expedition race organized by the Discovery Channel, will take place there next month. This enormous region south of the Buenos Aires province features a glacier-dotted mountainous interior, unique coastal wildlife and Andean national parks. A total of 52 teams from 32 different countries accepted the formidable task of competing in what could be the toughest Eco-Challenge ever. The race begins on December 1, and live reports can be found on the Discovery Channel starting November 28. Good luck to all the teams and hopely a team from Latin America willwin this year's race.

The Panama Canal provides a passageway between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, and has influenced trade patterns and economic expansion in many areas of the world. In 1903, Panama and the United States signed a treaty by which the United States undertook to construct an interoceanic ship canal across the Isthmus of Panama. In 1977 a process started after the ratification of the Torrijos-Carter Treaty that will put the Canal in Panamanian hands by December 31st, 1999. This treaty guarantees permanent neutrality of the Canal, although it has created a heated debate among the parties involved.
