i am curious about getting from Panama City to the San Blas islands. I will be meeting a private boat and am uncertain whether to bus or fly out of panama city. would you know if there may be a decent mainland port that we would be able to meet our vessel in, or would we need to fly into the capital of san blas.

any other info you may have on the san blas region would be great! look forward to the new frommers guide.

Hi Jisel, I'm Canadian and been living in Panama for a couple of years. Here are some places you shouldn't miss in the Coronado area:

Restaurants:
Cholo's
Don Chacho's
Vista Mar
El Galleon (Santa Clara)

Hotels & B&Bs:
Punta Chame Villas
El Litoral, Coronado
Casa del Encanto, in an idyllic mountain setting in Altos del Maria
