Puerto Vallarta Restaurant Roundup

Puerto Vallarta is a huge attraction for people from all over the world. The most common time to travel to Puerto Vallarta is in November through March. If you want to avoid the mad dash to this city from college spring breakers, find out the most common dates. It is usually during the second half of March when it is invaded. Here are a few restaurants that are worth checking out during your stay.

Big margaritas and lots of fun!

This place is a great spot for dinner and a whole lot of fun. Be prepared for the giant sized margaritas as they can sneak up on you. The food is very good, not the best in town, but definitely a place where you will happily stuff yourself. It is close to the Malecon (strip along the beach) and has very friendly staff. It is kind of a touristy spot, but it is a fun place to go with lively groups or family, probably not the place to bring a romantic date.

Great setting on the water, good food.

If you are looking for a great place to have a nice meal on the water, this is a place you want to check out. The Braised Pork Shank on a bed of pureed plantains is pretty darn tasty. The view makes the food taste even better. Margaritas watching the sunset make for a guaranteed good time.

Cafe de Artistes – Puerto Vallarta

Pricey, but really fine dining

Cafe Artistes is a very charming, high end restaurant that is a great place to celebrate something special. The food is exquisite, but does come at a price. They have the option of choosing a fixed price menu of 3, 4 or 5 courses.
