Interesting. I hear a lot about all-inclusive resorts in Mexico, but this is the first I've heard about them in Panama. Might be nice to travel a bit farther down south for once.

Decameron is where it's at in Panama!! Great rooms, great food, and stiff drinks. When I went, I thought the food would be mediocre at best considering it was included with the room fee but I was amazed at just how delicious it was actually! They even have snacks between meals and late into the night which include cheeseburgers and fries. A nice bar and dance area can occupy adults at night, and the large number of open bars can keep thirsts quenched all day long. There is even a swim-up bar, if there's any way I would choose to drown, it would be a cramp swimming away from a bar with a stiff Lord Panama in my hand!

Sheila-
With a few young kids, my money is on decameron. not only is the price great, but they will be more than occupied with the myriad of pools, long beach, and watersport activities (non-motorized ones, such as kayaks and paddleboats, are included in the price) Also, there will be lots of other kids there about their same age.

there are several restaurants at decameron, from buffets to italian places. these are also included in the price and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. you wont have to cook at all, trust me.

for your husband, decameron has 2 fishing choices. one is a bottom fishing trip to a nearby island where snapper, grouper, and other bottom fish can be caught. the other is a sportfishing trip for 3 hr, half, and full day trips. dorado, sailfish, wahoo, and tuna can be caught on this trip. these trips are extra, not included, but still a good price.

also, there are several other fishing outfitters around the decameron area

for adventure, the area around decameron is cool but for some real fun head to nearby valle de anton. its easily reached by bus or car. There, the fam can hike in the cloudforests, ride horses through incredible trails, go on zipline rides through the canopy, and much more. plus there are some cool hotels there to stay in if you want.

The Decameron is the most popular resort in Panamá, ask any Panamaniam. If I were taking my family I would take them there without question. There is plenty of open beach, a long list of activities that you can do(ie. Horseback riding, kayaking, windsurfing, etc.) which are all included in your room price. Plus, there are plenty of activities left for the adults to do during the night. Decameron is definitely the best value for the money.

looking for a place for a family of 5. Kids are 5,7,9 and very well behaved. They want adventure and swimming I would like someone to do the cooking? My husband would like to fish. Any ideas?
